Well We Didn't Expect That, Did We?

VCFMW Hotel Booking Update!

After brutal negotiations requiring every one of our diplomacy skill points (actually they were happy to do it), the Renaissance Marriott has added a load of rooms to our hotel block, which is NOW OPEN.

If you:

- Were unable to book a room last Friday: go ahead and do so now with this link
- Were unable to book all of the rooms you needed: try editing your reservation online using the link in your confirmation email. If that doesn't work, see contact info below.
- Booked outside the rooming block and need your reservation converted (and receive a big discount): contact the hotel.
- Need a standard room reservation converted into an Exec/Deluxe Suite res: contact the hotel.
- Have any other rooming issue that cannot be corrected using the online booking service: contact the hotel.

The Marriott Group Housing number is 847 303-8167.  They should be answering the phone Mon-Fri, 8am to 4pm CDT.  The front desk or national booking line may not be clued in on event pricing.  You need to talk to Group Housing at Schaumburg Renaissance.

A short list of people who contacted me directly should have had their reservations converted by now.  You should receive an email update from Marriott reflecting the new pricing.   If you did not receive such an update, please call the hotel at the number above.

AND IF WE FILL UP AGAIN - we'll add more tomorrow!
