We* Filled it Up

Hello "VCFMW fan"!

*Actually it was the wedding that is sharing the convention center with us on Saturday that filled Friday night at the Marriott, not our astounding 226 reservations! (Saturday had a few more, too.)  But wow, we really didn't expect this.

So, we zoomed out on the Google Map a bit and found another hotel, right there in the same parking lot.  The "Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Schaumburg Woodfield" (that must be its Royal title) is a walkable distance from the VCFMW venue and a fine place to stay in its own right.  And thus it is the official overflow hotel of VCF Midwest 19!  Visit our hotel page for up-to-date info or use the booking link to grab yourself a room. If you should need to call the hotel for anything relating to VCFMW, they know us there as "Chicago Classic Computing," so that's the name to drop.

The Marriott may still have rooms on Th/Sa/Su nights, but as of this writing, Friday is booked to the limit.  If you have any issues with your block booking that need to be resolved, you should contact the Group Housing dept at the Marriott at 847-303-8167 (M-F 8-4).

Tables!

We've received a few emails asking for info on how to sign up for a table at VCFMW19.  It's our fault for not updating the web page.  We're currently in the map-drawing and local-government-negotiating phase (a new feature this year) of our planning regime, so we're not ready to open registration just yet.  We expect tabling to open in early June.  As always, this mailing list will be the place to hear about it, so if you know anyone who is interested in VCFMW and not yet on the list, please pass the link on to them.

The Beg

As you surely know, VCF Midwest is a non-profit, community-supported endeavor.  Your donations play a major role in helping us pull this thing off - and grow! - year after year.  Please visit our donation page to see how you can help make VCFMW happen and support a free vintage computing expo for everyone.

It's all Visio / as far as eyes can tell...
